The Intimates is a series of color photographs that explores themes of sexuality, self-love, closeness, aging, and abuse. The subjects are mostly people and fruits photographed close-up, often fragmented or surrounded by textiles. The images are taken within a domestic setting to bring a sense of familiarity to the photographs, as well as the desire to keep the subjects within their natural setting. The photographs are paired together to form diptychs that show relationships or oppositions within the subject matter.

This series exists both as 20x20 prints hung on the wall, as well as a 7x7 intimate book accompanied by short poems.
